These 3 cultures are the Egyptian, the Greek and the Roman cultures. The first Egyptian dynasty was dated around 3100 B.C. Records show that they first existed earlier than China’s Xia dynasty which only emerged a century later. It can be concluded that the Egyptians were the forerunners in architecture and engineering as it can be seen in the structures that still can be seen by the current generation. It was not just in those aspects that they have dominated. Most of the arts and sciences were rooted from Egyptian teachings that were just later cultivated by other cultures as basis of advancements (ItHappened.Info, 4-5). As the Egyptians so-called domination started to diminish, the Greek and Roman cultures almost took over the thrown simultaneously. They have emerged almost at the same time. These 2 have their similarities however they both have ended just like the Egyptians.

Egypt fell in the hands of a Grecian, Alexander. This is when the Egyptian culture was taken over by the Greeks. The Romans however interfered in the affairs of the Egyptians around 2 B.C. Egypt then became a slave territory of the Romans. As different cultures and civilizations started to emerge and to want a piece of Egypt, it was about 389 A.D. During that time Christianity took over the land and ceased the existence of the pagan religion which cased the fall of the Ancient Egypt (Ellis & Horne).

Centuries have passed and there are still souvenirs of the past that can be seen in this modern world. Included in the said souvenirs are Egyptian pyramids, ancient Roman war paraphernalia, Greek’s Olympic traditions and the Roman and Greek mythologies before the domination of Christianity. As different civilizations emerged, there are traditions that were molded and developed into new ones while others ceased in existence.

The harvests of the modern world were all rooted from the ancient times. Technologies

Detective Waters, a black man, speaks of how people in Los Angeles almost assist upon getting into car accidents. Waters, who had been in the car involved in the accident, gets out of the car to inspect a crime scene in the immediate vicinity. Waters is told by a fellow police officer that a body had been discovered. however, what Waters sees at the crime scene is not immediately known to the audience, for the scene jumps to a lengthy montage of scenes that took place almost two days prior to the accident: Inside a gun shop, a Persian father, Farhad, and his daughter, Dorri, are purchasing a gun, but are hampered and hurried from the shop by the shop owner, who is against the two not speaking English. the defense attorney and his wife, Rick and Jean, are carjacked by two black men, Anthony and Peter. Jean is having the locks changed on her house, and the locksmith, Daniel, overhears himself being regarded as a gang member. in a diner where two Asians are conversing amongst themselves, a police officer, Ryan, is on the phone with a medical assistant, Shaniqua, who promptly hangs up when he makes a racist comment.

After Ryan and his partner, Hansen, leave and begin their duties, they pull over a black vehicle on suspicions of sexual activity while driving. The black couple, Cameron and Christine, exit the vehicle when Ryan directs them to. Cameron is polite and cooperative, though Christine is drunk, which shows through her actions and speech. Ryan frisks Christine, though what he is essentially doing is sexually molesting her. After he finishes, he allows the couple to continue on their way.

Another series of montages begins again, going off of the original scenes, continuing from the previous montages. Christine is beside herself with anger that Cameron did nothing to stop with Ryan had done to her, though Cameron firmly believes that he acted in the way that he was supposed to. Daniel is putting his daughter to bed

This paper will also show how the creation of British “Classic” races late in the eighteenth century and early in the nineteenth century changed the nature of racing and thus changed the way Thoroughbreds were being bred.

Ths paper will also detail the distinctive physical appearance of the Thoroughbred which is the result of several centuries of selective breeding. The paper will also detail the history of how the breed first emerged in other countries and on other continents and how it prospers today as the hub of two multibillion dollar international industries, agribusiness and legalized gambling.

This paper will also describe the way the Thoroughbred’s speed and stamina have created other breeds such as the Standardbred and The Hackney Horse. It will also discuss how the Thoroughbred has been utilized to improve other breeds of horses, such as the Quarter-Horse, the Morgan and the Irish Draught Horse.

Paleontologists have traced back the origin and development of the horse about fifty million years. The species evolved from a four-toed, flat-footed herbivore known as Eohoppus, who stood only two feet high. The most ancient discoveries of the species were found in North America. Researchers believe that the horse disappeared from that continent by 10,000 B.C. and would not return until European settlers imported horses beginning in the sixteenth century. The assumption is that the Eohopppus was able to move from North America to Europe and Asia utilizing the land bridges between the continents which existed in the Ice Age.

From the Eohoppus, or “Dawn Horse”, the species evolved into its present form as a grazing animal with solid hooves and strong, long teeth. It was more than four thousand years ago when man was first able to tame and domesticate the horse. Originally, they raised the species for its meat and its milk. But with the development of the chariot and then the saddle, the horse became a main source for transportation, both

stic husbands and wives make themselves famous in their circle (family, friends and relatives) with their acts of notoriety towards spouse and other family members.

As mentioned before one of the forms of the notoriety is about being famous. One type of being famous is being known to society for one’s badness. Generally the anti social elements like murderers, killers generally prefer to be unknown for the fear of capital punishment. But the notorious persons in that category tend to be famous, though working from underground. They want to make the people know about the nature and the things they do. They convey the message of their cruelty with the barbarity in the incident they are involved. We read in News Papers about serial killers who kill only women after raping them. We know about the persons who kill persons just for the sake of satisfaction of their cruel thoughts. In these serial incidents one can observe that the killers follow a system which establishes their cruelty and notoriety.

Another form of notoriety is regarding the terrorists and extremists. They pretend that they are fighting for a cause, which is for the benefit of people. In that mask they do barbaric activities filled with cruelty and notoriety. They torch the busses and trains with people. They blast the public property causing harm to common people. With these incidents they want to establish themselves for the cause they pretend to fight for. But there are number of peaceful ways without showing notoriety to fight for a benevolent cause. But they do not tend to choose them. This tells us about the notorious mentality imbibed by (in) them. Terrorists are notorious when compared to common man who tends to live peacefully. But one can see notorious terrorists also now a days. For eg: when we consider the 9/11 destruction of WTC towers in US, it can be termed as notorious out of notorious as it involved not only suicide but also homicide. These types of notorious activities are the

Instead of individual phonemes being connected to form the rudimentary parts of an out-loud language, sign language uses individual movements to create meaning. Nevertheless, the language itself is not merely a tool used by a particular community to express and communicate thoughts, emotions, and ideas to other people. A living object connects members of the deaf community across ethnographic boundaries, a range of diverse backgrounds, and a number of very different hearing loss disorders. In a rare look into the culture of deafness from a complex sociocultural perspective, anthropologists Richard J. Senghas and Leila Monaghan (2002) raised questions about community identity, language ideology, and cultural formation/maintenance, in an effort to learn about the kind of culture that deafness has produced within the last century. The researchers correctly identify deafness not merely as the absence of hearing, but as a community of many speakers with many different languages and cultural practices. On a superficial level, the language of the deaf community reflects the nature of that community as one comprised of people who are inherently incapable of using the spoken word. Nevertheless, on a more fundamental level, the language of the deaf community reflects deafness as a matter of social construction, and that understanding the deaf language is instrumental to understanding the deaf community.

Linguistic communities are collections of people who can and do communicate with one another using language. Deaf people, or members of the deaf community, participate in these linguistic communities through a fully-formed language that bears the hallmarks of all natural languages, as identified in Stokoe’s (1980) and Washabaugh’s (1981) surveys. The participation in a linguistic community means that the anthropological, sociological, and linguistic study of the deaf

However, even as the WTO’s noble objectives were gaining ground, bilateral trading agreements were likewise given an imprimatur by the WTO, referred to as Regional Trade Agreements (RTA) or Regional Integration Agreements (RIA). Under this system, a country may enter into an agreement with another country granting favourable treatment to it, but without necessarily granting the same treatment to other WTO Members (WTO, 1995).

RTAs or RIAs have been criticized as discriminatory as they run counter to the objectives set out by the WTO. This paper will analyse the reasons why bilateral agreements continue to flourish and their effect on global trading as well as the role of the WTO, and of the General Agreement on Tariffs and Trade (GATT), in the execution and implementation of RTAs or RIAs.

A better perspective will be gained if the functions of each of the organizations, including the principles it espouses are examined vis-à-vis the other trading organizations. Discussion shall be made in sequence, in accordance with the manner of its creation.

The WTO is the only global international organization dealing with the rules of trade between and amongst nations. At its heart are the WTO agreements, negotiated and signed by the world’s trading nations and ratified by their respective legislative bodies. The goal is to help producers of goods and services, exporters, and importers conduct their business (WTO, 1995) without apprehension or discrimination.

The WTO, according to its website, promotes peace, settles disputes, provides a level playing field through its rules, improves the cost of living, provides a better choice of products, increases salaries, encourages economic growth, promotes efficiency, promotes good governance and shields governments from lobbying (WTO, 1995).

Some of the listed functions of the WTO are to administer WTO trade agreements between

Hi, need to submit a 1000 words essay on the topic Stop And Frisk Policy In New York City.

If the police fears for their safety they move on to the next step, to frisk the person for any weapons or other illegal contraband.

The requirement of “reasonable suspicion” arose out of Terry v. Ohio (1968). This case changed policing because, before it, police officers needed “probable cause” to stop someone, meaning that the officer needed sufficient information to believe that the person had committed or was about to commit a crime.

Twenty years later, after Terry v. Ohio, the cases of Floyd, et al. v. The city of New York, et al. and Daniels, et al. v. The city of New York, et al. once again questions the constitutionality of the manner in which “Terry” stops are done in New York City. In both cases, the Plaintiffs sued the City of New York alleging that the New York Police Department Has breached the Fourth and Fourteenth Amendments. The analysis of both instances brought out certain similarities on how the police violated the Constitution. The judge in the two cases was the same, Justice Scheindlin. The Plaintiffs in both actions claimed that the police officers targeted a particular race without having probable cause of suspicion enough to suspect some of any possible criminal involvement. Fourth Amendment has been systematically violated as the law enforcement officers have consistently mishandled Americans privacies and aspect of security.

The stop and frisk policy, of being stopped if a person looks reasonably suspicion is not the central issue. The main issue is how police officers are applying the policy to civilians. Police officers are only to stop a person if they look reasonably suspicious of being involved in criminal activity not based on their race or physical appearance.

The rival troops rumbled over Jerusalem because there was a lot of tension and the Holy City was weakened. The Templar and Hospitaler Knights were continuously at logger heads. The battle of Hattin decimated the soldiers and Knight of the Latin States. On 2nd October 1187, Saladin captured the Holy city. The Muslims clambered up and removed the crosses that had been mounted by the Crusaders on the Cupola of the Dome of the Rock. Islam controlled Jerusalem from that day until the 20th century.

Challiton, who was a cruel Crusader Is known to have massacred Muslim pilgrims because they steps on his turf. This seems to have instigated Saladin and his army to capture Jerusalem in their vow to revenge the action of Challiton. Additionally, at that time Jerusalem had difficulties with their leadership and this made them predisposed to enemy attack. Saladin and his army took over the Holy Land. The significance of Jerusalem in Muslim lore increased over the years. Saladin had sworn that he would stop killing the Christians after they had taken over the city. This story is of much significance at it gives a history of where the Muslims and the Christians started to have disputes each other. This is a conflict that is still taking place up to date. This story gives as the real facts of what events took place before Saladin, a Muslim leader took over Jerusalem .If we compare him to Challiton, the Crusader’s leader we can deduce that Saladin was a noble man that stood to his words. His courage, moderation and justice were character traits that seemed to have earned him lasting respect.

This reading gives a history of a famous leader, Saladin in relation to the fall of Jerusalem. I believe that Saladin had every right to take over Jerusalem as it was being managed by wicked leaders. The part I enjoyed most was the character displayed by Saladin. His adherence to the ideal of Justice and magnanimity as well as his leadership skills will be
